_{Welp, I ran out of time to do something "grand" for the last month of the year!
Regardless, here's what I've done this year... the funny thing is, I feel like I haven't improved at all.
I feel like I've done better things back in 2009

However,
I have worked really hard this year
I've pushed more to plan and make bigger images that I've put many hours into
I've experimented with different programs and mediums

And yeah, while my best from 2009 are pretty impressive, my average has been crap as heck
So... yeah. :'3

Plus a friend of mine casually remarked: "You know, your art has improved so much since you left those two behind"
And... I could tell she was sincere because she just said it in the moment as a side note on a bigger topic, like.
Trying to not get too emotional for her or more
But it meant a lot, and I've tried to see what she sees, and... I dunno if it's there but. I know I've felt a lot more artistically free since then.
So... 2015 was a pretty good year. =u=

Being trapped in toxic surroundings can affect someone to the point where you find it hard to create anything or grow as an artist. If you don't feel free, then how can you feel freedom of creativity? That is the best thing in art, freedom that is. Even if it's a commission by someone you are still free to use your own style, your own way of coloring and your very own imagination. Without that freedom art looses something important.

And I can clearly see how you have gotten better since 2009, your art feels different too and that's great! Your works feel much more... alive. The beautiful, bright colors and the smooth lines, it's so colorful and so lovely that I swear I could eat them all up! I'm really looking forward of what 2016 will bring up to you and your work in art.
